Water Quality of Nour City Rivers
Authors
Abstract:
The goal of this research is recognition of species of pollution and a rough estimate of rate of transmitted pollution through northern Iran rivers to Caspian sea. Sampling from 3stations up-river, mid-river, and down-river in Lavij rood, Gland rood, and Sabze rood in a 6 month period from 2008/5/22 to 2008/11/22 coincides with warm, low rain, cold and rainy seasons and parameters as temperature, electrical conduction, solved turbidity, BOD,COD, with concentration of main cations and anions and microbiological parameters were measured. On the basis of piper diagram water of 3rivers in rainy and low rain seasons are from kind of magnesium bicarbonate. The analysis of measured parameters according to N.S.F program showed that the total quality index in first 3month in low rain seasons is lower than 50 and it means poor quality. In second 3month in rainy seasons this index is upper than 50 and it means the medium quality of water. The classification and determination of the quality of water considering central committee standard of India pollution control with results of N.S.F method is in harmony.

Water quality management of heavily contaminated urban rivers using water quality analysis simulation program
Precisely management of water quality in urban rivers is of significant and water environmental capacity provide a useful tool. This study presented a water quality analysis simulation program model-based approach for dynamical load reduction in Ashi River, highly contaminated tributaries of Songhua River, China. The actual and surplus dynamic environmental capacity of CODCr and NH<s...
full textHuman impact on the microbiological water quality of the rivers
Microbiological contamination is an important water-quality problem worldwide. Human impact on this category of contamination is significant and several human-related activities, and also the population explosion, have affected and are still affecting dramatically the aquatic environment. Extensive industrialization and agriculture have led to increased pollution and hydromorphological changes ...

The field work portion of this project began September 22, 2012, with an expected completion date of November 10, 2012. The field work will involve traveling by canoe down the entire Chattahoochee-Apalachicola River system from the source spring near Chattahoochee Gap to the Gulf of Mexico, collecting water quality data, documenting illegal incursions into the river channel, and gathering such ...
full textWater Quality Monitoring in European and Turkish Rivers Using Diatoms
Water is one of the most essential factors for civilization, and also among the most important items in the new world order due to its unrenewable feature. In this regard, developed countries have continually been monitoring and classifying their water. For this reason, a number of EU countries have developed a national water quality system, considering characteristic structure of their own riv...
full textEnergy Efficient Networks for Monitoring Water Quality in Subterranean Rivers
The fresh water in rivers beneath the Earth’s surface is as significant to humans as that on the surface. However, the water quality is difficult to monitor due to its unapproachable nature. In this work, we consider building networks to monitor water quality in subterranean rivers. The network node is designed to have limited functions of floating and staying in these rivers when necessary. We...
full textWater Quality Zoning of Rivers by the Technique of Fuzzy Clustering Analysis
Zoning the pollution of a river may be the first or even the most important step in water quality management. In order to resolve its pollution, fuzzy clustering analysis may be used whenever a composite classification of water quality incorporates mutiple parameters

In such cases, the technique may be used as a complement or an alternative to comprehensive assessment. In fuzzy cluster...
